Indian Jewelry at Fitzgerald’s; Pall Wall at House of Blues & more…

Houston is well-known for creating rare breeds of talented musicians. If you want to check out two acts that fit that description head over to Fitzgerald’s tonight. Both Balaclavas & psych rock group, Indian Jewelry & put on creative performances that give the audience an unforgettable experience. Also performing are Sic Alps and Cave. Tonight, 8 p.m., free for those 21+, $7 for under 21.

Houston’s own Paul Wall will wreck it tonight at House of Blues. Since moving to L.A., Houston hasn’t seen much of the People’s Champ (I remember when he used to hang out at UH). He’ll make up for lost time tonight and is going to be backed by a live band. Should definitely be interesting! 8 p.m. Don’t forget to click ‘I like it’ on the event page for your chance to win a pair of tickets.

This weekend, the Bobbindoctrin Puppet Theater kicks off its seventh annual puppet festival. The company has been producing original performances since 1995. Utilizing a variety of puppet techniques rarely used elsewhere, the original plays are creative, experimental and accessible to all members of the Houston community.   All-age appropriate performances during Sunday matinee only. Running until March 12, $15. Click here for schedule and more details.

Tonight will be a Rodeo Houston night to remember as Janet Jackson takes the stage. Performing as part of Black Heritage day. Get your Escapade on (I hope she sings that one)!

Happy Friday!
