Broken Social Scene at Warehouse Live; Tapes ‘N Tapes at Fitzgerald’s

Tonight, two great shows come to Houston – decisions, decisions. However, if I were you, I’d try making it to both — totally doable! BTW, click “I like it” to both of these shows for your chance to win tickets…

Broken Social Scene are 18 musicians deep, according to Wikipedia, grounded by two core members. Their 2002 breakthrough record You Forgot It In People landed them accolades & solidified their fan base with songs like “Cause  = Time”, “Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl” & “Lover’s Spit”.  One of the things I love about this band is that none of their songs sound quite alike because they have such a wide range of styles & vocalists. Touring for their 2010 release Forgiveness Rock Record & following Zeus, Broken Social Scene will perform at Warehouse Live, 8 p.m.

Tapes ‘N Tapes hailing from Minneapolis – has had some mainstream success, playing on The Tonight Show with David Letterman and the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Their sound is influenced by bands like The Pixies and Pavement but Tapes ‘N Tapes have a millennial appeal. Think awesome ’90’s rock that also appeals to barely legals. Playing with Oberhofer at Fitzgerald’s, 9 p.m.
