Art Opening and Reception – Patrick Butcher: Puuya Kuntha Strong Heart
Patrick Butcher, one of Australias leading Aboriginal contemporary painters, will open Puuya Kuntha Strong Heart, an exhibition of paintings by northern Queenslands Lockhart Rivers Art Gang, at Booker-Lowe Gallery, Wednesday, 17 November 2010. The public is invited to the opening reception from 6 8 pm, at the gallery, 4623 Feagan Street, Houston, Texas. Butcher, an accomplished musician as well as painter, will perform traditional ceremonial dances at the opening. The exhibition features 28 new paintings by Butcher, Rosella Namok, Fiona Omeenyo, Adrian King, Cheryl Accoom, Sue Pascoe, Doris Platt, Lawrence Omeenyo, and Josiah Omeenyo. The exhibition will run until 26 January 2011.

Sandra Bernhard: Kiss Me On The Lips Texas Tour
Sandra Bernhard hits the stages of Texas, performing with the Austin rock act White Widow and hosted by Saffire T. Stone. The tour will kick-off in Houston, stop in San Antonio and end in Austin:
